Summer Bishil, an American actor, is well-known for playing Margo Hanson on the Syfy Fantasy series The Magicians. in the Alan Ball movie Towelhead, she played 13-year-old Lebanese American young girl Jasira that goes through a tumultuous existence in the backdrop of the U.S. invading Iraq during the Gulf War. Her character was then named one of Variety's Ten actors to watch in 2007. The 2009 movie Crossing Over, in which she portrayed a strong female lead character named Taslima Jhangir has been nominated by Independent Spirit Award as the top actress.
